The digital temporary shelter Origami lava is a concept for a populated molecule. The design is based on a water molecule, referring to the idea of the Japanese motion of Metabolist pre -prepared capsules as a living area.The main molecule can be sent as a flat swab, cut from local plywood, or was reduced by a helicopter. The interior can then be cut out of wood, cardboard, newspapers or other local materials.Chris Boss said: ‘The project plays with the ideas of manufacturing a factory way and personified residence, as well as laying multiple units, giving an opportunity for a separate expression’.
Each unit contains the space of sleep for two adults and one child as a small space for food and reading. Battery or sunny operated led light bring refuge into life, turning it into a lantern, a sign of hope.Shelters of the features of the temporary asylum exhibition by local and international architects and will be demonstrated on the front site of Cydney customs, Australia from September 1-3, 2011.The exhibition is highlighted by the need for temporary shelters in the distress zones and the role of design and construction industry after natural disasters.Other Australian and international architects who designed shelters for the exhibition include atelier Jean Nouvel, PTW architects, Tonkin Zuleha Grire, steering boat, Koichi Takada Archimoto and Terunobu Fujimori.The temporary shelter application hopes to raise understanding and help for thousands of people who were moved by natural disasters of Japan.For the exhibition, Lava created a large -scale model made of sheets of plywood cuts CNC. In the actual state of affairs, a flat swab would be folded into the Origami molecule and filled with locally accessible material. Lava worked with the builder of rents for determining stages and Keystone Project Group.
